The Witches Tarot is a photographic art project by photographer and mixed media artist Chris Madsen. Across 91 cards of original art, the deck captures the dark, mystic beauty of the female form, layered with sacred symbolism and deep emotional resonance. With the exception of the artist’s own self-portrait, which appears as The Fool and The Druid, every figure in the deck is a woman. The result is a tarot that reads like a portrait gallery of the witch in all her forms.

With its moody imagery and witchy archetypes, it’s the perfect tarot deck for Halloween and a year-round favorite for anyone drawn to the darker side of the cards.
